Everyone usually gets so wrapped up in theatrical training they forget to perfect their craft for commercials as well!
In this class, Terry will teach you how to incorporate all of your TV/Film Training into auditioning for commercials along with a few new tricks and skills specifically for commercials! With so many commercials auditioning and shooting in the current environment we’re experiencing every actor should have these tools in their back pocket!
To act well in commercials an actor has to be able to let out their personality in a short scene in thirty seconds. Terry’s Commercial Acting technique is based on fundamental acting in a short scene study format.
CLASS DETAILS:
In a fun up-beat environment of acting exercises the class will start out with an Improv for each participant to exercise and stretch the Improv muscle in their brain that is valuable for creativity and thinking fast on their feet.
Through an exercise Terry will teach each participant how to find their own empowerment.
Each participant will perform the script that was assigned to them. Terry will give notes to each person giving valuable acting lessons to bring their read to the next level. By watching each other the group will learn what makes a good audition worth a call back and a booking.
The last portion of the class Terry will go over the booklet that was given out regarding the business and answer any questions from the parents
