This will be a fun casual Class and different than a real class but more of a group of people getting together and talking about the industry working on scenes and thinking about how you could make each scene better. What do casting directors really look for in auditions. Does each self tape have to be perfect? If each self has to be perfect then why do casting directors call you back with notes? How to have an easier time doing self tapes.

Before the Class:
Harriet would like you to choose one of your own scenes you would like to work on in class,
Once you register and have the scene you will perform, please email us a copy for Harriet and our reader.
Online Webinar :
Harriet will start with the same Intro talk with actors as she would regularly in class. (Read “CLASS BREAKDOWN” below for more info)
She will work with each participant live through the webinar on the scene they pick. (This way actors are still getting real-time re-direction and notes, as well as the other actors, are still able to watch and see the notes given!)

4 Read with Harriet like you would in an audition
5 Redirects and let’s do it again
6 Let’s all be casting directors and critique each other. How would you have done the same differently and what do you see that other actors might not have thought of in the scene.
Each audition is different because each actor brings their own true self to their audition.

We will cover over all the ways they should prepare and feel comfortable with the scene in an audition situation both in the room with a Casting Director or for self-tape situations which today is very common.
We will cover steps needed, from the moment the actors get their audition material (sides) to the minute they walk into that audition.
